MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

3 Year Tertiary Qualification or Equivalent

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of local government legislation

Interpersonal and communication skills
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Co-ordinate the establishment and sustaining of ward committees
-
Ensure the coordination and implementation of the election process and
induction of newly elected ward committee members
-
Coordinate the provision of administrative and logistical support to
ward councilors and ward committees
-
Ensure ward committee meetings are conducted in accordance with
Council’s code of conduct and other relevant policies
-
Coordinate budget input, ensure and monitor administration of out of
pocket expenses of ward committee members
-
Intervene in relevant ward committee issues regarding service delivery
-
Ensure the establishment and update of a data base of all role-players
and stakeholders
-
Draft monthly & statistical report(s), compile a schedule of
meetings, agendas and take minutes of ward committee meetings
-
Perform any other relevant administrative task to the competency of the
post and the section as required by the Senior Administrative Officer
