CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Managing personnel in the section
-
Responsible for all civil action against defaulting debtors
-
Correspondence
-
Manage signing for the control over and collection of all arrears and
outstanding debts for residential, business, industrial consumers and
sundry debtors
-
Managing litigation in terms of Section 57 of the Magistrate Court Act
-
Consultation with and instruction to council’s attorneys in defended
matters
-
Attend meetings
-
Disconnection of services
-
Attend to enquiries from the public and other departments
-
Attend auctions in cases where council is the plaintiff
