MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 – with Accounting as a subject

Computer literacy

Communication skills

Mathematical or financial qualification will be a recommendation
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Attend to public credit control matters via telephone, over the counter
and electronic means.
-
Arrange for reconnection after payment and/or arrangement where
electricity was erroneously disconnected.
-
Arrange with debtors for extension of payment on request by client and
capture on the system.
-
E-mail disconnection information resulting from non-payment to the
Electricity Department where necessary.
-
Print/fax copies of account to consumer when requested.
-
Prepare journal of interest on account, final notice fees and
disconnection fees when applicable.
-
Collect credit control print outs from data to proceed with
disconnection of electricity.
-
Handle correspondence/faxes regarding credit control received from
public and attorneys.
-
File credit control correspondence/arrangements.
-
Compile detailed statements to discuss with debtors and interview
public in regard to Credit Control matters not clear to the client.

Attend to deposit counter to open new consumer accounts on the system
-
Complete final reading on request by client.
