Admin officer - Grade 1 Print

DEPARTMENT : FINANCE
DIVISION : LEGAL COLLECTION
POSITION : ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER GR I
SALARY : R210 936 – R232 872 p.a

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • B Degree/ Diploma or NQF 5 equivalent
  • Communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer literacy
  • Extensive relevant experience

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Control over and collection of all arrears and outstanding water and electricity debts for residential consumers.
  • Arrange postponement of repayments in installments
  • Correspondence
  • Disconnection of services
  • Attend to enquiries from the public, attorneys, financial institutions and other departments
  • Accounting functions for Judicial collections
  • Attend meetings when required
  • Supervision in absence of Senior Accountant
  • Relief in absence of Chief Control Officer
  • Independent submission of concept list together with reasons for water and electricity debts to be written off.
