Clerk - Grade 1 Print

DEPARTMENT : OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY CITY MANAGER: CORPORATE SERVICES
POSITION : CLERK GR I
SALARY : R 135 036 – R 145 428 per annum

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualification
  • Excellent typing skills and working knowledge of all MS Word packages
  • Secretariat and general administrative experience will serve as a recommendation

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide office support to the PA in the office of the Deputy City Manager
  • Administrative duties include the typing of documents, booking of venues, arranging of refreshments and meetings, acknowledge receipt of incoming correspondence
  • Perform receptionist duties
  • Process requests for petty cash claims and payment of invoices and ordering of stationary
  • Follow up on outstanding matters
  • Assist in handling telephone calls
  • Collect and circulate correspondence
  • Records management
