CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Facilitate the establishment of the ward committee process
-
Ensure the establishment and updating of a database of all role players
and stakeholders
-
Coordinate and communicate council decision to the communities
-
Ensure the implementation of the election process
-
Conduct the induction of the newly elected ward committee members
-
Attend relevant ward project site meetings, distribute correspondence
to ward committees, ward councilors, sector and any other relevant
structures
-
Assist with the reporting of land invasion to the relevant department
-
Take minutes of committee meetings and attend to all logistical
arrangements thereof
-
Promote the transfer of skills and training and monitor the process in
terms of IDP projects
-
Ensure smooth running of ward projects and submit progress report to
the Regional Manager
-
Assist in popularizing the council payment mechanisms to the community
-
Ensure adherence to the Council’s Code of Conduct during committee
meetings.
