MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
  • Secretarial Qualification

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tertiary qualification with Office administration and management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint programmes

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a comprehensive filing system for the office in accordance with the departmental and Council Archive System.
  • To communicate on behalf of the office of the Executive Director using written or oral media.
  • The Personal Assistant needs to take control of situations that arise in the absence of the Executive Director.
  • To ensure that the information coming into the Executive Directors’ Office is kept confidential.
  • To handle the compilation of reports, presentations.
  • To co-ordinate the activities within the Office of the Executive Director.
  • To draw up and implement a comprehensive programme plan for the Office of the Executive Director
  • Diary Management for the Executive Director.
