NEW EKURHULENI MAYORAL COMMITTEE


This the new-look Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality’s mayoral committee following the re-alignment by the ANC Gauteng Provincial leadership after consultation with the Ekurhuleni Regional Office Bearers of the ruling party. The move is in line with the ANC’s priorities for the next five years as outlined in the Election Manifesto.
  • MMC Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture – Clr Ndosi Shongwe
  • MMC Water and Energy – Clr Aubrey Nxumalo
  • MMC Finance – Clr Lungile Mtshali
  • MMC Housing – Clr Vivian Chauke
  • MMC Community Safety – Clr Mthuthuzeli Siboza
  • MMC Environmental Development – Clr Louis Sibeko
  • MMC Health – Clr Makhosazana Maluleke
  • MMC Corporate Services and City Planning – Clr Queen Duba
  • MMC Roads, Public Transport and Civil Works – Clr Themba Thebe
  • MMC Economic Development – Clr Abdul Mogale   

Clr Mahlomola Mabote becomes the new Chief Whip of Council. The Provincial leadership also agreed to retain the Speaker of Council Clr Patricia Kumalo. Clr Pinky Mkhonza remains the chaiperson of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC).
