Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, No. 32 of 2000 that the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipal Annual Report for the financial year 2008/2009 was approved by the Council at a meeting held on 28 January 2010 in terms of Section 127 of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, No. 56 of 2003.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality wishes to inform property owners in the region that its third supplementary property valuation roll will be published on Wednesday, February 17 and will be open for objections until March 31, 2010.

Fearing the increasing criminal activities in the nearby open space with long grass and large stones, 80-year-old Jeremia “Oom Jerry” Seore, took a spade to work on the area and named it Botsotso Soccer Field in 1971 and little did he know that 39 years later, his work will be honoured by Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.
